Buying Silver Bullion Rounds, Medallions, or Ingots (all the names they are often called) is an excellent way to invest in .999 fine (99.9% pure) silver because the premiums for rounds over the "silver spot price" are often less than those of legal tender coins. At Silver Trading Company, we offer our Southern Hero Silver Rounds (not Proofs, as seen on our Southern Hero Proof Silver Coin Pages), and also rounds from A-Mark, Northwest Territory, and Pan American. Please note that the pictures of the rounds to the left are not to scale.

Southern Hero Silver Rounds
Anyone who owns or has seen one-ounce silver rounds can tell you that there are some dog-ugly ones circulating out there. However, our Southern Hero Silver Rounds, also known as Confederate General Rounds (Generals: Lee, Jackson, and Forrest), commissioned by Larry LaBorde, owner of Silver Trading Company, are one troy ounce of .999 fine (99.9% pure) silver with a beautiful design in high relief, frosty images, and shiny proof surfaces (not the case with most other silver rounds). (You'll have to purchase some to see what we mean, and see the difference for yourself!)
Larry commissioned each of these Southern Hero Silver Rounds as a way to commemorate the lives of three well-known Confederate Generals of the Civil War: Robert E. Lee, Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson, and Nathan Bedford Forrest. Each round's obverse proudly features a bust of one of the three generals and the reverse, reveals the Great Seal of the Confederacy.

The obverse design features America's national symbol, the American Eagle with arrows in its talons and surrounded by 13 stars representing the original 13 colonies. The reverse depicts the historic Liberty Bell and the words, "Life, Liberty, Happiness" above the bell and the A-Mark logo with .999 Pure Silver below.
